Retreats

Often our Lives are  so busy and so full trying to find the time for ourselves can become too hard.

Before we know it - we are at discord with ourselves, lost direction, feeling in a rut of a mundane, un-nourishing and energy zapping existence.

We have lost ourselves.  We are no longer aligned to our values and even when we start to notice this; it just seems to create even more discord and our inner critic has a field day!

Sometimes just stepping completely away from the normality of life, gives us the chance to just pause and breathe.

It gives us the opportunity to reflect and restore.

To reconnect to what is important and of value in our lives.

The added bonus is that these events always seem to attract like minded souls.

People who you can really connect and converse with deeply and with intention.

Day Retreat

Day Retreat - Owlett Woods

July 9th 2022

Spending time in nature offers many benefits to soothe the mind, body and soul.

It has many specific studies to support it's finding of reduced stress levels, more clarity and more focus.  It also increases NK cells in the body which can support immune systems and can promote a better quality of sleep.

Often our busy lifestyles disconnect us from ourselves and our environments -  we were never meant to be so disconnected from nature as how we have become today.

The good news is that even a small amount of time in nature can impact positively on our health. A few hours of Nature & Forest Therapy will help you to unplug from technology and slow down.

It will bring in to the present moment which in turn helps to de-stress and relax you.

When you connect to nature and take the time to use all of your senses, you begin to draw on and feel the vast array of benefits the world of nature provides.

The day will start with a gentle saunter to acquaint ourselves with our environment.

We will offer a number of invitations throughout the day, all designed to involve the senses and give you a deeper experience of immersion with nature and with yourself.

Walking is a gentle meandering pace and over the day we will cover 2 - 3 miles.

What to bring, wear etc will be sent to you on registration.

Weekend Retreat

Wellbeing in Nature Weekend

Avebury Stone Circle & Magical Ancient Woodlands

Dates April 8th - 9th 2023

This weekend is all about you and your wellbeing.

It's a real opportunity to release tensions and stresses, deeply relax, reconnect, recharge and revitalise.

All in two fabulous environments.

We start this weekend at Avebury Stone Circle.  Avebury henge and stone circles are one of the greatest marvels of prehistoric Britain.

Built and much altered during the Neolithic period, roughly between 2850 BC and 2200 BC, the henge survives as a huge circular bank and ditch, encircling an area that includes part of Avebury village.

Within the henge is the largest stone circle in Britain - originally of about 100 stones - which in turn encloses two smaller stone circles.

We will spend our first day here and you will be guided through a number of invitations to help you connect with your surroundings and your own true nature. In the evening, we will walk along the infamous stone avenue and be guided through a deep relaxation experience within  the circle as the sun goes down.

Joining together for an evening meal is optional and will be confirmed nearer to the time

Our second day of this experience we will explore the delights of either West Woods or Savernake Ancient Forests on the outskirts of Marlborough.

Savernake forest contains thousands of veteran oaks, offering the opportunity to stumble upon a remarkable tree around every corner.

The history of the both these forests / woodlands goes back for a thousand years or more. Its long history has left us with an outstanding legacy of old trees, rich landscapes and diverse habitats.

One to the countries oldest trees, the Big Bellied Oak, is very noticeable on the side of the A346, but a walk in to the lovely Savernake Forest it the best way of viewing this ancient tree.

The big belly oak is the great grandfather of the historic savernake trees and is about 1,100 years old, taking root at around the time William the Conquerer defeated King Harold in 1066.

We will immerse ourselves within this nature to absorb the many healing properties the this nature world provides.

The forest is the healer, the guide opens the door.

Again you will be guided throughout this morning to further integrate the deep connections and relations with nature and ourselves.

During this weekend we will use a number of nature & forest therapy invitations, econidra, nature journalling and natural mindfulness practices to enrich our experience as well as exploring individual trees that we are drawn to, their teachings and how we can continue to use their elements as earth medicine in our own lives.

In order to keep these weekends as cost effective as possible, this event does not include accommodation or food. Instead we have left this open for your choice of venue, experience and cost. Avebury and the surrounding areas have a number of B & B's, hotels and camping sites.

Our booking system is held through Eventbrite which you can access here
